Presbyterian Women
Women of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church gather for fellowship through lunches, dinners and special programs throughout the year. The Circles are for fellowship and participation in smaller groups through Bible study and meetings in circle members’ homes or at church.
Purpose
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit we commit ourselves:
-to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
-to support the mission of the church worldwide,
-to work for justice and peace, and
-to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
Meeting Schedule
There are various meeting throughout the year. The circle groups meet monthly.
PW USA Presbytery-Wide Activities
We have a Presbytery-wide community of women’s events, sending representatives to these events for feedback and sharing of goals.
Helping Achieve Worthy Goals Within Our Church and Community
PW is actively involved in supporting many local missions in our community, such as Randolph County Homeless Shelter, Tyrand Parish Ministries, and raising funds for college scholarships.
