Christian Education
Christian Education is important to us at DMPC. Throughout the year, we have a variety of options for all to engage and explore the Christian faith in a variety of aspects. From Sunday School, Summer Camps and Conferences, to weekly Bible Studies, there are a myriad of opportunities to engage in Christian Education at Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church!

Adult Classes
Book Study: The Words of Jesus by Phyllis Tickle
Location: Fellowship Hall—Church Basement
Instructor: Dr. Bryan Wagoner
What if you could encounter the words of Jesus on their own, lifted up from the surrounding narratives and presented in their full power and mystery? In The Words of Jesus Tickle has compiled and arranged all the sayings of Jesus from the first four books of the New Testament and the first chapter of the Book of Acts in a way that creates an entirely new kind of encounter with the texts.
Breakfast and Bibles
Location: Henry G’s Cafe—Downtown Elkins
Instructor: Mr. Brad Martin
This laid back format meets around breakfast and coffee at the Henry G’s. Throughout the fall, this group will journey chapter by chapter through a book of the Bible. Discussion is often lively, and is a friendly venue to learn more about history, theology, diversity, and friendship!

Chi-Rho Youth Class
Location: Youth Room off of Fellowship Hall
Instructors: Sue Chenoweth and Hillary Shryock
The youth class meets in the youth room and studies lessons that are shaped on the sermon that will be shared in worship. The curriculum is engaging and challenging as youth develop into the young adults as God intends.
Children’s Classes
Nursery
Location: Second Floor, Nursery
The DMPC nursery is staffed by a talented team of individuals to provide a safe, comfortable space for your little ones. The nursery is available during both the Sunday School time and worship.
Venture: K—Grade 4
Location: Second Floor
This class shows how we can grow up to be healthy and strong young people who share God’s love with everyone. The Venture class uses material that follows what is being taught in worship, to help strengthen the message for the day.
